Judy H. Strickland, 84, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in Daytona Beach, FL. Born on July 1, 1939, in Waycross, GA, Judy lived a life rich in love, faith, and generosity.
Judy dedicated herself to her family and played an instrumental role in building the family businesses while raising her two sons, Tommy and Scott Strickland. She was the beloved wife of Ferrell Strickland for over 60 years, embodying devotion and commitment in their enduring marriage.
A devout Christian, Judy found joy in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her life reflected her unwavering faith, as she actively participated in church activities and Christian endeavors. She was known for her soft-spoken nature, a constant melody of uplifting songs, and a heart that radiated kindness and forgiveness.
In addition to her husband and sons, Judy is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of James and Beatrice Harvey, with three sisters and a brother, forming a close-knit and loving family.
Judy had a passion for reading and a love for humor, often clipping funny stories and jokes to share with those around her. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she had a special affinity for all children, expressing a boundless love that endeared her to many.
A funeral service to celebrate Judy's life will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 11:30 AM at Langford Funeral Home, followed by a gathering at the burial site on Plymouth Ave, Deland, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.
Judy H. Strickland will be remembered for her unwavering faith, love, and the indelible mark of kindness she left on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
