Lois E. Tracey (Bernado), 70, of Deland, Florida passed away on April 30, 2023. She was born on February 5, 1953 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Louis J. and Dorothy Lewis Bernado. Lois was a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima in Barrington, Rhode Island. She worked in banking for ten years as a teller and was known for her dedication to her work. Lois was a loving and kind-hearted soul who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved musicals and was often singing and dancing. Lois was also a choir singer and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones. Her heart was accepting to anyone who entered her life. In her early years, Lois participated in the Miss Rhode Island Pageants, attending the Barbizon modeling school. She entered the Miss Rhode Island contest where she became miss Barrington and Bristol Rhode Island. Lois is survived by her husband, Stephen L. Tracey, her children Kimberly Baggett (Thomas Baggett), Stephen W. Tracey (Alicia Tracey), and Thomas M. Tracey, and her grandchildren Alexa Tracey, Thomas Tracey, Mariah Tracey, Stephen E. Tracey, Gabriel Tracey, and Layla Baggett. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy ( Doug Grote) of St. Augustine, FL, her brother, Robert Bernado (Shelly Bernado) of Cornelius, N.C., and her sister, Mary Mc Neel (Douglas McNeel) of Marietta, GA. A celebration of life will be held on May 12, 2023 at Lankford Funeral Home in Deland, Florida from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Lois's life was dedicated to her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
