Steward Anthony Trotter

On Saturday May 13th 2023 Steward Anthony Trotter, loving husband and father of three children, gently took his final breath and passed away from colon cancer at the young age of 49. He slipped off to heaven while at home in Eustis, holding his wife's hand.
Stew was born in Freehold, New Jersey on July 20th 1973 to Frederick S Trotter Jr. and Mary Catherine Munis. He was born into the flooring industry and continued with construction and transportation until the months leading up to his sudden illness.
He was a devoted husband to Katie L Ellis of DeLand and they share one son Ryder B Trotter. Steward also shares two adult children with Cynthia R Bridges - Tyler K Bridges and Shayla R Bridges, both of Apopka, FL.
His siblings include four sisters: Tammy Hastings, Jessica Spurlin, Tabatha Decker, and Samantha Trotter. He leaves behind a large extended family, so many friends and brothers, and a hole in our hearts forever!
Succeeding was his passion and failure was not an option. He did not tell many people that he was sick, he didn't want them to see him in that light. Stew asked to be remembered for the good times that you had together.
He enjoyed spending his time with Katie, Ryder, and their two dogs traveling the US, racing remote control cars, riding dirt bikes, BMX, mountain bikes, Harleys, snowboarding, camping, boating, fishing, and most of all - he was a proud rad dad!
Memorial Services will be held at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand on Saturday June 3 at 10am and all are welcome to attend. The family simply asks for you to get an early cancer screening as we try to understand this terrible loss. It was only 77 days from diagnosis to heaven's gates.
