Victoria "Vickie" (Hines) Patty, 70, of St Cloud, FL, passed away on Thursday, June 17th, 2021. She passed peacefully at home, with loved ones by her side, after a 6 month battle with ovarian cancer. A visitation will be held at Lankford Funeral Home, 220 E New York Ave, Deland, FL from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021. A brief, graveside service will follow at 11:30am at Oakdale Cemetery, Deland. Memorials can be made to Ronald McDonald House, the ASPCA, or your local animal shelter in her honor.
Vickie was born on January 22nd, 1951, at Moline Lutheran Hospital, Moline, IL. She graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1969. She married Roger Patty on June 7th, 1969, and they remained married for 52 years.
In her early married years as a wife and homemaker, she enjoyed ceramics, cooking for family, and raising her two sons. Later in life, she enjoyed online games, early Journey and Steve Perry music. Her favorite TV shows were NCIS, Golden Girls, and M*A*S*H.
Vickie is survived by her husband Roger, her oldest son Jeffrey (Jennifer) Patty of Deland, FL, her brother Russell Hines of Moline, IL, her sister Kathy (Hines) Granger of Rock Island, IL, grandchildren Jacob and Emma Patty of Deland, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Betty (Boelens) Hines, and her son Michael Patty.
