William David Jackson
William David Jackson, age 90, of Orange City, FL passed away October 23, 2021, with his family by his side at Advent Health Hospital in DeLand, FL. He was born February 10, 1931, in Atlanta, GA the son of William and Louise G. Jackson. He married Elizabeth Sue Palmer August 15, 1975, and at that time gained his son “forever teammate” John Robert Palmer.
David was retired from Sherwood Medical in DeLand. Where he worked as the Quality Control Manager for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working in the garage. When Fridays came along David, Sue and John would be on the road headed to the next racetrack. He spent the remainder of his days being the greatest husband, father and grandfather his family could ever ask for.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Louise G. Jackson; Sons, John Palmer and William Jackson JR; sister, Joy Long; Daughter, Karen Jackson; and grandson RJ Williams.
He is survived by his wife (his orchid) Elizabeth Sue Jackson of 46 years. Daughter-in-law, Lisa Palmer; Daughter and Son-in-law, Amelia and Robert Williams; Grandson and wife, Patrick and Kristen Cooney; Granddaughters, Kayla, Melissa, and Taylor Palmer, Randi and Husband Steven Bruner, and Stacia Williams-Minshew; Great grandchildren, Madalyn Palmer, Makenzie, Haylee, Payton, and Ryan Bruner, Kaleb and Raquel Williams; Several nephews and nieces.
There will be a celebration of life in his honor held at the home of Tom and Linda O'Quinn 755 Mercers Fernery Rd. Deland, 32720 Saturday October 30th at 1pm - 5pm
