I'm sad, I'm mad and my heart is broken!

Charlie and I met on November 19th 1993 at Atlantis on a quiet night. He walked up to me and said " just imagine when you think you got it rough things could always be worse" I said "yep" I never turned my head to look at him then he said said " my name's Charlie Clifton I'm 42 a plumber and been married 7 times" I then turned my head and looked at him and said " well that all depends on why you got divorced 7 times" . I was 21 he was twice my age. We were together for pushing 10 years. This man took me and showed…

Charlie was always considered apart of our family. he entered out life 1969 when he started dating my older sister Julie. I spent a lot of time with the two of them, got to tag along for movie night and ice cream. (LOL) Through the years he has always been there for us with a loving heart, and helpful hand. He was a great brother in law and I will truly miss him. I’m saddened not to be there for his farewell, my condolences to the ones left behind. Charlie will always have a piece of my heart.❤️

Charlie and I grew up together from elementary school at Dempsey Brewster through Deland High School - in the same home room each year. We remained close after high school and became life long friends - through marriages, deaths, good time and bad times. I considered Charlie a brother and have so many fond, crazy memories of growing up with him. I miss him already even though I never thought he would make it to 70. RIP my friend. - Jim Clayton
