James R. Herring

James R. Herring, 82, died May 10th, 2021 at Advent Health hospital in DeLand after a long illness. His Celebration of Life will be held on July 10th, 2021 at his home in DeLand.
James was born on February 5th, 1939 in Jacksonville, FL to Ivey and Blanche Herring. He worked in the grocery business for 30 years and then for the family fernery business prior to his retirement. He married Betty Herring on August 4th, 1961. They raised two sons, Jeff and Mark Herring, and one daughter, Elizabeth Herring Woolridge. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Betty, two sons Jeff & Mark, Kimberly, daughter Elizabeth, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and 2 sisters.
