On Saturday July 16th 2022 my LOVING WIFE, Jo, of what would have been 47 years on November 7th, went to a better place and is now at peace. Jo was born May 30th 1955. She endured a courageous battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s for the past 7 plus years. I am so happy that I was able to be her caregiver during that time and be with her.

Jo was preceded in death by her Father, Ronald, pigeon, Stevens on the same day July 16th 39 years ago. Knowing Jo she probably planned it that way.

Our oldest Son, Scott, November 7th 2014, our anniversary day, and youngest Daughter, Brittany, July 25th 2008.

Also preceded in death by Brother Craig December 4th 2010.

She is survived by Son Sean and his Wife Melissa, our Granddaughter Ava, daughter of our deceased Daughter Brittany, who Jo played a very significant role in raising her from birth, Granddaughters Candace and Emily and Grandson Michael, children of Sean and Melissa, and Granddaughter Madysen, Daughter of our deceased Son Scott, who it broke Jo’s heart that she was not able to be more involved with Madysen’s life.

Jo is also survived by her Mother, Peggy (Neilson) Stevens, Sister’s Rona (Wife of Bob) Koegler, Kathy (Wife of Mark) Wilt, Marsha Healy, and Bronwyn Katdare.

Jo was a very loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, and Sister. She was loved by all and will be deeply and sadly missed, but always remembered for the beautiful person she was. It saddens me to know that she will no longer be here to share all of life’s remaining ups and downs with me. I could always count on her to share these with me and comfort me whether I made the right, or wrong decision.

She had a deep love of children, especially babies, and if it was possible, would always hold them and hug them close to her heart. Because of her love for children and babies she operated a Home Day Care for 15 years in Pennsylvania before we moved to Florida. This love also followed her to Florida where she worked with, what came to be good friends of ours, Cindy and Ken Fry, taking pictures of Children at Day Cares and Schools till they ended their business.

Jo will forever be in our hearts, ESPECIALLY MINE.

There will be a Celebration for Jo at St. Peter Catholic Church in Deland, Florida on Friday July 22nd, where we have been Parishioner's since 2001. Visitation will be a half hour before the Mass at St. Peter prior to the service for anyone who would like to pay their respect. Times are tentatively set at 9:30 AM Visitation and 10:00 AM Service.

A Memorial Mass for Family and Friends will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Cresson, Pennsylvania, where we were Parishioners prior to moving to Florida, to be determined at a later date and time.

ALWAYS REMEMBER ALL THE BEAUTIFUL THINGS ABOUT JO, AS WELL AS THE BEAUTIFUL THINGS WE ALL WILL MISS ABOUT JO.
