Michael Edward McNaney, 65, died on October 11 ,2023 in his home in DeLand Florida.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held November 11 ,2023 at 11:00 am at
4A Ruckert Circle in DeLand Fl, 32720. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship and a light lunch.
Mr. McNaney was born August 6, 1958 in Denver, Colorado. Michael was adopted by his parents William “Bill” and Treva McNaney. He was raised in Boulder, Colorado along with his brother Lowell McNaney. Michael had one daughter, Makayla Ann McNaney.
Mr. McNaney was passionate about Jesus and football. Michael loved Jesus with all of his heart and from the moment his daughter took her first breath he taught her everything he knew about Jesus and the Bible. One of his most favorite things in life was supporting his daughter in all of her dreams. He had a servant’s heart for the youth in his community. You could find Michael teaching chapel on Friday mornings, teaching Elementary Children’s Church on Sunday mornings or on the football field coaching and mentoring young men.
Michael is survived by his daughter Makayla and his brother Lowell.
In lieu of flowers his daughter has asked that donations be made to Life’s Choices Women’s Clinic as Michael was passionate about the life of the unborn.
