OCTOBER 2022 MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Greetings Family and Friends,

A wonderful friend gave me the greatest tagline for our pet business.

He said ‘ your final companion may not always be your spouse’. Thank you for that from the late Michael Fronk. Sadly said he was correct. Our furry friends give us unconditional love and support. While they don’t understand our feelings they are in touch with our senses and moods.

In 2001 I had to decide with my long-time vet, Dr. Dan Evers to euthanize my pug who was suffering in silence as her 22-year-old body was failing. I drove up to the vet and she immediately perked up as she always did and almost skipped into the office. I questioned how can I do this with her looking so peppy. Dr. Dan sat on the floor next to us and asked me these questions, does she hide more in dark places than she is out, does she have accidents more in the house, does she turn down her favorite foods? My answer was yes. He then pointed out other issues that were not noticed by the untrained, and Then I understood, it was time. It was time for me to tell her goodbye.

It was the kindest thing I could do for her.

That was the day I wanted her taken care of as I would my loved ones. It was then that I started Lastingmemories4 pets. A program to offer simple and private cremation for pets.

Your vet is responsible for your pet's care during life and after they deserve the care and compassion of a funeral director just as our family members. Sometimes we grieve more for those without a voice. We are here for your entire family. No matter what type of pet you have, how small, or how large, your pet matters.

Today, we continue to serve families for dignified pet cremation. We offer end-of-life planning through pre-need for your pets as well.
