COBERLY, SUSAN, 63, of Sanford, FL, passed away Dec. 18, 2023. Susan was born in Sanford. She spent several years in the San Francisco Bay area graduating from Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA in 1978. Susan moved back to Sanford in the early 1980’s and started her career at the US Bankruptcy Court Middle District of FL in Orlando. Before retiring in 2011, Susan was the long-time courtroom deputy clerk for Judge Arthur Briskman and Judge Timothy Corcoran. In retirement, Susan pursued her passion in arts and crafts, woodworking, gardening, caring for cats, and kayaking. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Max, and mother, Arletta. She is survived by her siblings, Kathy Lovell (Robert) of Holly Springs, GA, Joyce Coberly of Sanford, and Max Jr. "Chip" (Janet) of Tampa; one nephew Christopher Parry Jr., and two nieces Jamie Cothern and Brandi Lovell Kmoch. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Municipal Cemetery in Sanford on Sat, Dec. 30, 2023, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TEARS of Seminole County, an animal rescue charity. Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, FL is in charge of arrangements.
