William (Bill) Dan Clark, Jr.

09/23/2023

William Dan Clark, Jr., known to some as Bill and to others as Papa, peacefully departed this world on September 23, 2023, at the remarkable age of 104. Bill will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, and a doting grandfather. Bill's remarkable journey through life began on June 22, 1919, when he first graced the world with his presence. His life was marked by both service and adventure, as he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1941 to 1945 during World War II. When he came back from war, he worked for Rexall Drugs and then Tupperware. His dedication to duty was unwavering, reflecting the strength of character that defined his life. When Bill retired from Tupperware, he found his true passion on a farm, where he dedicated his days to raising cattle and casting lines into the tranquil waters for moments of peaceful fishing. The simplicity of rural life resonated with him, and it was here that he found solace and contentment. In 2007, Bill experienced the profound loss of his beloved wife, Nadine. Her memory remained etched in his heart, a testament to the enduring love they shared throughout their years together. Bill also mourned the loss of his daughter, Marcia Junghans, who preceded him in death. Bill's legacy lives on through his surviving daughter, Sharon & Ira Clark, who carries forward his spirit of resilience and love. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Richard & Tanya Emery, Jr., and Tricia & Jay Saylors, along with four great-grandchildren, Andrew (Brittany), Kyle, Caleb, and Christa. Bill's wisdom, stories, and laughter will echo through the generations as a cherished family heirloom. Throughout his working years, Bill dedicated himself to a distinguished career as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Tupperware Home Parties, Intl. His dedication and expertise were invaluable to the company, and he retired having left an indelible mark on the organization. In accordance with his wishes, Bill will make his final journey to Cooksville, Tennessee, where he will rest eternally at Paran Cemetery. There, he will find peace in the embrace of the land he held so dear during his years on the farm.

As we bid farewell to William Dan Clark, Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by unwavering love, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that make life beautiful. Bill's memory will forever warm our hearts, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Bill. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved you dearly. His arrangements are being cared for by Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand, Florida and by Hooper, Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home in Cookeville, Tennessee.
