Wofford Kenneth Ellzey, affectionately known as “the baby”, to his family of 5 siblings and Kenny to his friends. He passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born in Gainesville, Florida.  His sense of duty extended beyond the workplace, as he proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating unwavering commitment and bravery. Kenny dedicated a significant portion of his life to Sherwood Medical, where he worked for many years before embracing a well-deserved retirement. Beyond his professional and military pursuits, Kenny was a man of varied interests. He had a passion for bowling and was the greatest bowler of his time. He played Santa Claus for many years for friends and his infectious sense of humor earned him the reputation of a humorist, brightening the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. As a member of the VFW, the DAV, and a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, Kenny actively participated in organizations that mirrored his values. These affiliations showcased his dedication to community and camaraderie. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, William, and Levaughn Ellzey, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who cherished him. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, brothers, Bill (Karen) and Emory Ellzey, and sisters, Wilma (Bill) Martin and Mary McKay. Additionally, he leaves behind a stepson, Michael Gorin, and four grandchildren. Visitation and services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 4th from 3-3:30p with services beginning at 3:30pm at Lankford Funeral Home.

The burial will be in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
