Memorial
service for Katie W. Given, 75, Lancaster Road, DeLand, who
died Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at her home, will be 3 p.m.
Thursday, October 13, at Lankford Funeral Home & Crematory,
DeLand, with Rev. Michael Fronk officiating.
Mrs.
Given was born in Owings, SC and moved from there to this area
in 1957. She was the vice president and treasurer of Empire
of America in DeLand before retiring. She was a member of the
Lake Beresford Yacht Club and a former member of the DeLand
Country Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley
H. Given.
Survivors
include two sons, Stanley II of Gainesville and Baron of Bradenton;
a brother, John "Buck" Willis Jr. of Laurens, SC; four sisters,
Dorothy Owings and Sadie Rice both of Greenville, SC, Sara Gambrell
of Clemson, SC, and Jane Craddock of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler,
3800 Woodbriar Lane, Port Orange, FL 32129, or to Stetson University,
421 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL 32724.
